Trekking in the High Atlas

Trekking in the High Atlas is a great way to experience Morocco and encounter a way of life that has undergone little change over the years. Our carefully planned trekking packages can take you to the remote areas of the mountains on foot and/or on mule back. Our trekking pavilion also provides an excellent starting point for extended excursions in the Atlas, such as visiting the desert regions or experiencing the welcoming of the Berber tribes.

Rates: 510 Euro per person on a basis 4 persons minimum

Program:

First Day : Welcome at Menara airport Marrakech and assistance, Brief review of the tour during your transfer to the hotel. Check in. first day free at leisure, overnight in your hotel in Marrakech.

Second Day : after Breakfast, Visit of historical Marrakech : the Menara garden, the Saadian tombs, the Bahia Palace, and the Koutoubia, back to the hotel for check out, Afternoon, continuation for visit of the famous Djemaa El Fna square with its surrounding souks and handicraft quarters, in the evening departure for your adventure destination high Atlas mountain Toubkal , overnight in your Le Village Toubkal hotel and SPA.

Day 03 : Your guide will meet you at 8.30 am at the hotel for briefing and preparation. From the onset of the journey we trek mountain crossings and springs heading towards the sanctuary of the Chamharouch settlement (2,300 m) where we stop to savor the panoramic views over traditional menthe tea. Our climb will then take us to the waterfalls of the D’Imouzer Cascades (2,700 m) where lunch will be served. Rejuvenated, we will continue our course alongside the river path, upwards to the high point of the Nelner Refuge (3,207 m) which offers an excellent resting place for the night; there we will also have dinner. The option of sleeping in a tent is also available should you prefer it.

Day 04 : Refreshed by an early breakfast and spoiled by the beauty of surroundings, we will begin our climb of the steep valley leading to the summit of Toubkal (4,167 m) - the highest peak of North Africa. The view is priceless! We stay long enough to soak-in the humbling panorama, before we make our way back to the Refuge where we have our well deserved lunch. The rest of the day is yours to relax, enjoy and recuperate.

Day 05 : After breakfast we begin our return journey. We make our way back to the sanctuary of Chamharouch from where we cross the village of Armed (2,000 m) located at the foot of the Toubkal mountain where we will enjoy picnic and traditional menthe tea in Berber style. As we approach our return to the Imlil village and the hotel, we are treated by scents, colors and shades of walnut and cherry trees.

Day 06 : after Breakfast, Departure to Marrakech city, check in at your hotel, and fee day for relaxation and shopping, Dinner outside Restaurant at the famous "Chez Ali Restaurant" with folklore and fantasia show, enjoy a typical Moroccan dinner which mainly includes Harira, Mechoui and couscous under caidal "tents". A traditional event including an opportunity to see the Berber folklore, the jugglers performance, the flying carpet, the belly dancing and finally the fantasia show. Overnight in your hotel in Marrakech.

Day 07 : Transfer to the Airport Menara Marrakech, with Departure assistance formalities.
